Floods in Bangladesh have affected more than 5 million people and at least 20 people have died

China News Service, August 26. According to Reuters, on August 25, local time, Bangladeshi officials stated that floods caused by monsoon rains and overflowing rivers have killed at least 20 people and affected more than 5.2 million people.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department warned that as water levels fall very slowly, flooding conditions may continue if monsoon rains continue.

Authorities said that in 11 flood-hit areas, more than 400,000 people took shelter in about 3,500 shelters, and nearly 750 medical teams provided treatment locally.
